1. What’s
the difference between Diamond Gloss and Zee-Glaze Paint Protection?
While Diamond Gloss and Zee-Glaze both offer very good protection
against paint fading, loss of gloss, and minor scratches, Diamond
Gloss is made of a liquid polymeric resin that results with a hard
shell like finish, while Zee-Glaze is made of polymer sealant that
results with a semi-hard shell like finish. Diamond Gloss also protects
the paint against most environmental damage such as acid rain etching,
water spotting, fruit, tree sap, and bird dropping markings, and even
fuel spill staining. It also forms a hard protective barrier that
resists scratches and abrasion better than Zee-Glaze and any other
wax, silicon, polymer, or sealant in the market today. While Zee-Glaze
offers a guarantee against loss of gloss, Diamond Gloss offers a guarantee
against loss of gloss and paint damage due to environmental causes,
(i.e. acid rain, tree sap, bird droppings, bug splatter, oxidation
and UY rays from the sun).
2. How does wax, silicone, and polymer
based coatings compare to Diamond Gloss?
Silicone’s shine is better than wax, while the polymer’s
shine is better than both wax and silicone. None however will last
more than a few months because they are all soft coatings and none
offer any preventive qualities against environmental damage.
3. Which vehicles are eligible for Diamond
Gloss?
As a general rule, vehicles eligible for Diamond Gloss should not
be more than 2 years old, but even older vehicles may qualify as
long as the paint is still in good condition. The same applies to
brand new vehicle’s which may already have factory paint defects
resulting from a re-painted panel. Prior to applying Diamond Gloss,
the vehicle’s paint finish shall be carefully inspected for
any paint defects either due to environmental damage or poor paint
quality or repainting. If ever, these defective portion(s) will
be excluded in the guarantee clause.
4. What are the Lifetime guarantee requirements
on Diamond Gloss?
First, the vehicle should not be more than 12 months old or have
12,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. Second, the vehicle should
pass our visual inspection for any paint defects. And last, once
the Diamond Gloss process has been applied, the vehicle should be
brought back to any Ziebart location annually, (on its anniversary
date, plus or minus 30 days), for a complete renewal and re-application
